At Tarka, we run on fun and imagination, while engaging with kids of all ages in a a healthy and positive way. We offer a variety of classes, from Nursery to Summer Camps, and are always looking for new instructors to join our busy and growing team. With Tarka, you can lead our kids in educational and structured games while using your imagination to create a world you can play in!

Hybrid Lead Instructor Role – London

Summary
We are looking for an experienced, confident Lead Instructor to join TARKA on a contracted PAYE basis.
This hybrid role offers regular monthly work with paid holiday and pension, while still allowing flexibility to pick up additional shifts when available.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants a clear, consistent role with a premium children’s brand, but who doesn’t want (or can’t commit to) a full Monday–Friday schedule. It’s especially well suited to candidates who are studying, building a portfolio career, returning to work, or looking to develop experience in education, coaching and child development within an ambitious, expanding company.

What We Are Looking For

Strong experience delivering high-quality sessions as a Lead Instructor

Reliable and professional — punctual, organised and great with families and fellow instructors

Confident running sessions independently and supporting newer instructors on shift

Comfortable working weekends as part of a rotating schedule (minimum 2 weekend shifts per month)

Working Pattern
- Contracted: 10 shifts per month (8 weekday shifts and 2 weekend shifts)
- Weekend commitment minimum 2 weekend shifts per month
- Rota planned in advance where possibleexact venues and times vary week to week
- Overtime OpportunitiesYou may be offered additional shifts beyond the bank by mutual agreement (paid as overtime)
Holiday and Benefits
- Paid holiday:25 days per year (full-time entitlement), pro-rated to your contracted shift bank
- Pension:5% employee contribution and 4% employer contribution (subject to eligibility and statutory rules)
- PAYE employment:tax and National Insurance deducted through payroll
- Training and development:role-specific training provided (details shared during recruitment)
