Term-Time Classes

Does my child need to wear anything specific?

We ask that your child is wearing comfortable clothing and suitable shoes for running.
What is the youngest age my child can join Recruits?

Your child can start from 18 months.
Can my 2 year old come to your Troopers class?

Unfortunately not, we please ask that they stay in Recruits until they are 3 years old.
Can we just turn up to a class on the day?

Unfortunately not. We please ask that you book in beforehand so we can staff our class according to the correct numbers.
Can I stay for the whole class if my child is over 3 years?

You are more than welcome to stay to settle your child in. We do then encourage you to leave them in the class. We will always call you if a child becomes overwhelmed.
Do I have to book my child in for the whole term?

No! You can either book individual classes or for the whole term.
Will my child have the same instructor each week?

We always try to ensure this is the case but we can’t always guarantee it.

Do I need to bring a packed lunch to the 10:00-14:00 class?

Yes, we ask that you bring a NUT AND SEED FREE packed lunch and some water.
Can my child who is not yet 3 years come to the 4 hour camp?

Unfortunately we cannot have any child younger than 3 years in this camp.
Can we just turn up on the day?

We please ask that you book in beforehand so we can staff correctly.
Can I drop-off earlier than 10:00am for the 4 hour class?

We sadly cannot have a child join us for a holiday class earlier than 10:00am as our instructors will be setting up the camp and briefing all instructors.
Can my child do part of the 4 hour class?

Your child is more than welcome to attend only part of our 4 hour holiday camps, but we will still charge the full amount.
Can my child stay for the 10:00-14:00 camp and the 14:30-16:30 camp and do a full day?

Unfortunately we do not offer full day camps in London.
Do I have to sign up for the full week?

No! You can book individual classes or for the whole week.

What age do you do birthday parties from?

We run birthdays for children 3yrs and older.
Do you book the venue for us?

Yes, we can certainly arrange and book the venue for you. We can discuss this during the enquiry stage.
Do you provide any catering?

We do not provide catering ourselves but we partner with fantastic suppliers which we can arrange on your behalf.
Do you provide party bags and/or decorations?

We partner with fantastic suppliers and TARKA can arrange this on your behalf.
How soon before the party do the team arrive?

Our Lead and Support instructors will arrive 15 minutes before the party.
Do you provide a bouncy castle?

Absolutely! These are only available with our Classic Party for an additional cost.
How many instructors do you send to the party?

This depends on which birthday package you decide to book. There is more information about this in our brochure.
How long do your parties last?

Our parties last 2 hours. If you are looking for a different duration, let us know and we can create a bespoke party for you.
What is the structure of a TARKA party?
Our parties typically follow the following structure:
- first hour – main TARKA games
- 30 minutes – break for ‘teatime’ and cake-cutting
- last 30 minutes – more TARKA games

What age do you do private classes from?

We run private classes for children 3 years and older.
Can we do a private class in our home?

Yes! We would please ask you to send a picture of the space to see if it is suitable for us to run the class.
Can we organise weekly private classes?

Absolutely. Should you wish to just book a one-off class, this is also possible.
Can there be multiple children in a private class?

Yes! We would just increase the number of instructors we send based on the number of children in the class.
How long is a private class?

Normally they are for one hour. Should you wish for longer, we please ask that you state this when booking the class.
Will my child have the same instructor each week?
